Manfaat kentang dan nutrisi bagi kesehatan tubuh

Kentang merupakan makanan yang menjadi bahan makanan pokok diberbagai negara Eropa. Kentang dapat diolah menjadi bentuk pangan olahan dan sebagai bahan makanan pokok pengganti beras yang juga memiliki manfaat bagi tubuh seperti beras organik. Makanan yang berupa kentang sebagai pengganti beras adalah kentang yang dimasak dengan cara direbus atau bakar.

Manfaat kentang dan nutrisi bagi kesehatan tubuh

Restoran dengan cara kerja cepat saji disitu terjadi kentang yang menggantikan menu utama. Selain itu, kentang juga dapat dijadikan pilihan camilan dari anak- anak hingga dewasa banyak yang menyukai kentang. Kandungan makanan kentang terdiri kandungan zat atau nutrisi serta unsur yang sangat dianjurkan untuk dikonsumsi.

Protein dan serat
Kentang berukuran besar seberat 300 gram yang direbus bersama dengan kulitnya, mengandung 261 kalori, 5,6 gram protein dan 0,3 gram lemak. Namun jika Anda mengupas kulitnya sebelum direbus, maka Anda akan kehilangan sekitar setengah gram protein. Namun kandungan kalori dan lemak tetap sama. Dikupas maupun tidak, kentang masih menyediakan 5,4 gram serat, dan 2,6 gram gula alami.


Vitamin C dan Vitamin B
Kentang rebus akan memberikan kita vitamin C dan vitamin B5 (asam pantotenat), serta jenis vitamin B lainnya yaitu tiamin dan niacin.

Vitamin C bermanfaat sebagai antioksidan yang berguna untuk melindungi sel dari kerusakan akibat radikal bebas.

Selain itu, kentang rebus juga membantu tubuh kita untuk menghasilkan norepinefrin, yaitu suatu neurotransmitter yang berperan dalam komunikasi saraf, dan menjaga kadar hormon.

Vitamin B5 diperlukan oleh tubuh agar memungkinkan untuk memecah nutrisi menjadi energi dan mendukung fungsi hati. Satu cangkir kentang rebus menyediakan 0,8 miligram vitamin B5, atau sekitar 16 persen kebutuhan tubuh setiap hari .

Sedangkan untuk vitamin C, kentang rebus menawarkan sekitar 27 persen untuk wanita, dan 23 persen untuk pria dari jumlah total kebutuhan setiap hari.







Beberapa mineral penting
Makanan kentang kaya akan akan kandungan mineral penting, yang bermanfaat untuk membantu tubuh kita dalam membangun tulang yang kuat serta menjaga fungsi saraf dan otot.

Kentang  dengan ukuran besar yang direbus bersama kulitnya akan memberikan kita 1,1 gram kalium, atau seperempat dari kebutuhan kita setiap hari.

Sedangkan kalium memiliki manfaat dalam membantu serta menjaga keseimbangan elektrolit dalam tubuh, dan juga penting untuk fungsi otot, jantung dan fungsi saraf.

Mangan berguna untuk mendukung metabolisme, dan juga membantu tubuh memproduksi kolagen – protein penting untuk penyembuhan luka.

Tembaga dari kentang akan membantu tubuh kita dalam memproduksi oksidase lysyl, yaitu suatu enzim yang diperlukan untuk jaringan ikat yang sehat dan mendukung beberapa aspek fungsi otak.

Makanan Kentang juga sekaligus bermanfaat bagi tubuh kita dengan zat magnesium dan fosfor sebanyak seperlima dari yang kita butuhkan setiap hari. Apabila makanan kentang dikupas sebelum direbus, maka akan terjadi hilangnya beberapa kandungan mineral ini.

Mengingat manfaat gizi kentang rebus baik bagi tubuh, maka makanan kentang juga bisa dijadikan sebagai makanan sehat alternatif pengganti nasi untuk sarapan Anda, sehingga  tak perlu susah-susah untuk mengupas, karena justru lebih baik ketika direbus bersama kulitnya.

Namun, ketika kentang akan dimakan seharusnya perlu dikupas kulit pada bagian luar kentang rebus yang tipis itu.
