Budidaya tanaman sayuran serta jenisnya

Di negara Indonesia sejak dari dulu membudidayakan tanaman sayuran sepanjang tahun karena Indonesia selain merupakan negara tropis juga negara yang tersedia sinar matahari yang cukup dan memiliki potensi terhadap pertumbuhan serta sayuran yang budidayakan, sehingga perlunya budidaya tanaman sayuran dikembangkan untuk kebutuhan manusia.

Tanaman sayuran juga merupakan tanaman hortikultura yang telah dibudidayakan dengan secara intensif. Budidaya juga dapat diartikan sebuah usaha untuk dapat menambah, menumbuhkan serta mewujudkan benda atau makhluk hidup agar lebih berkembang dengan jumlah dan bertambah banyak, yang disebabkan untuk pemenuhan permintaan sejalan dengan melalui meningkatnya kebutuhan juga kesadaran dari manfaat mengkonsumsi sayuran.

Sayuran yang berada disekitar kita merupakan bahan pangan yang berasal dari tumbuhan yang juga mempunyai kadar air serta serat tinggi yang banyak mengandung vitamin serta mineral yang dibutuhkan oleh tubuh.

Dinegara Indonesia ini memiliki banyak daerah yang mempunyai komoditas dengan tanaman sayuran unggulan yang berbeda karena perbedaan alam yang berbeda pula, contohnya :
  • Pada dataran tinggi seperti tanaman sayuaran juga dapat dibudidayakan seperti tanaman kentang, wortel, serta brokoli.
  • Pada dataran rendah dapat di budidayakan tanaman seperti mentimun, bawang merah serta caisim.

Tanaman yang dibudidayakan antara lain :



Tomat

Tanaman tomat (Lycopersicon esculentum ) merupakan tanaman perdu semusim, berbatang lemah, dan basah. Daunnya berbentuk segitiga. Buahnya hijau waktu muda dan kuning atau merah waktu tua. Kebanyakan tanaman ini umumnya dengan biji dan biasa dibudidayakan pada lahan kering. 

Umur panen tanaman tomat kurang lebih 55-61 hari setelah tanam (HST). Tomat termasuk sayuran buah yang digemari. 

Manfaat

Tomat mempunyai berbagai manfaat antara lain sebagai bumbu, lalap, makanan yang diawetkan (saus tomat), buah segar atau minuman (juice). Buah tomat banyak mengandung vitamin A dan C.


Bawang Merah

Bawang merah (Allium cepa) banyak dimanfaatkan untuk bumbu yang termasuk bahan pangan. Bawang merah ini kamu bisa menemukan di tempat bumbu yang banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat Indonesia  pada umumnya. 

Manfaat 


Selain dimanfaatkan sebagai bumbu dapur, bawang merah dimanfaatkan juga sebagai rempah dan obat. Kandungan minyak atsirinya dapat menyembuhkan beberapa gangguan kesehatan. 

Bawang merah dapat tumbuh pada tanah sawah atau tegalan. Panen bawang merah dilakukan saat udara cerah dengan umur tanaman 65-90 HST.


Kangkung

Tanaman kangkung (Ipomoea reptans) termasuk sayuran daun yang populer. Hampir setiap penjual sayuran menjual kangkung. 

Tanaman ini dapat tumbuh dengan baik di daerah dataran rendah. Terdapat dua jenis kangkung yang biasa dibudidayakan yaitu kangkung darat dan kangkung air. 

Kangkung air memiliki daun dan batang yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan kangkung darat. Kangkung dapat dipanen pada hari ke-27 setelah tanam. 

Pemanenan dapat dicabut langsung atau dipotong dengan menyisakan buku batang. Setelah dipotong, kangkung dapat tumbuh kembali dan dipanen lagi.
